Terms of Service

1. The Service

Wealth Journey provides a personal net worth ledger: manual check-ins, journal reflections, milestone tracking, community benchmarks, and an optional Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so your AI assistant can query stats and log entries on your behalf.

The service is currently free to use. We may introduce optional paid features in the future; if we do, the core journaling experience will remain free and any paid tier will be clearly described before you choose it.

2. Your Account

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. Users aged 13–17 may use the service only with a parent or guardian's permission.
• You sign in with Google OAuth or email one-time passcode. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method and devices secure.
• One account per person. Keep your profile information accurate and don't impersonate others.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or remain a security risk.

3. Acceptable Use

To keep the community trustworthy, you agree not to:

• Post someone else's private financial details, or any personal data you don't have the right to share.
• Submit knowingly false figures to manipulate community benchmarks or leaderboards.
• Probe, overload, scrape, or disrupt the service — including the API and MCP endpoints — beyond normal personal use.
• Circumvent authentication, access another member's private entries, or use the service for spam, fraud, or anything unlawful.
• Harass other members in comments, reflections, or public entries.

4. Your Content & Public Sharing

You own your content. Every entry you log is private by default — visible only to you unless you toggle "Share to Community" on that specific entry.

• When you publish an entry, you grant us a limited license to display it on the community board, your public journey page, and aggregated benchmarks — only so the service can function.
• You can switch any public entry back to private or delete it entirely at any time, which removes it from public display.
• Aggregated, anonymized statistics (such as cohort medians) may persist after deletion, but they cannot be traced back to you.

5. MCP & API Tokens

If you generate a personal API token to connect an AI assistant via our MCP server, treat it like a password: anything done with your token counts as done by you. Never share tokens publicly or commit them to shared code. You can revoke and regenerate tokens from your profile at any time.

6. Not Financial Advice

Wealth Journey is a journaling and reflection tool for educational purposes only. Nothing on this site — your dashboards, community entries, benchmarks, or AI-assisted summaries — constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and we are not your fiduciary.

Always do your own research and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions. Past performance shared by community members does not guarantee future results.

7. Availability & Changes to the Service

We work hard to keep Wealth Journey reliable, but as a free service we can't promise uninterrupted availability. Features may change, pause, or be discontinued; if we ever shut down the service, we'll give reasonable notice and a way to export your data first.

8. Termination & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated entries, reflections, and comments at any time from your settings, or by emailing [email protected]. Deletion is immediate and permanent on our active databases.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If that happens, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you export your data unless doing so would violate the law or harm others.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wealth Journey and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including financial decisions you make based on what you track or read here.

10. Changes to These Terms & Contact

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Wealth Journey after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
